Alienware m7700 laptop

    Is there an alternative motherboard dual or quad core compatable that can fit in the same slot as the clevo D900T? The motherboard in it has became faulty and instead of buying a new laptop was wonderin if replacing the guts would be cheaper with Xmas being around the corner.

    Alienware Area-51 M7700
    Intel Pentium 4HT (3.60ghz)
    1 gig ram
    Nvidia 7900gtx

    It is very hard to replace a laptop motherboard, as critical components are sometimes soldered in.

    I would recommend contacting Alienware tech support, even if it means paying, as they may be able to do the job for you.
