    Hello,

I have a big problem since yesterday.
My computer has been hit by a virus (well, I suppose it was a virus), when I opened a crack file. As soon as the virus was in my computer (Toshiba Satellite A210 - Windows Vista), the system failed (blue screen).
Then, no way to launch Windows. The computer restart everytime when the session is about to open.
But, I can open the safe mode. No problem.
I cleaned my computer and remove unnecessary files. Then I tried again to open normally Windows. Sometimes it is working. But when the session is launched, all applications, explorer included, stop one by one.

I decided to install and run anti-virus in safe mode, but I couldn't find any virus.
But I discovered that I got almost 30GB additional free memory on my hard drive. I don't how... So I suppose the virus deleted 30GB of the hard drive memory, including important files for the computer system. But, I checked the windows folder and files, it seems that everything is there. I DO HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT IS WRONG!!!

Other change... when I turn on my computer, before to access Windows, there is the Vista logo with the loading animation below. Well, the logo has disappeared since the incident.

So I tried to reboot the the system. No way! Impossible. The computer doesn't recognize the Toshiba recovery disk. When I try to reboot the computer in BIOS, nothing happens and the computer launch Vista.

If someone can help me, it'd be GREAT!!!

I've added the Hijackthis report below.

Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2

    Hi

Sadly just a HJT log cannot determine if malware is the cause of this as many malwares are not picked up with HJT.

    What was the BSOD code?

But to be fully sure you are not malware infected you will need to run our comprehensive guide
READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

Once finished please start a new thread in the Malware Forum plus a guide on how to attach the logs HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post

After these are attached our malware experts will review these to see if your OK, if not they will issue you some further removal instructions.

If you can get your data to another disk, or have done so, I suggest restoring from the factory CD's.
Getting into the BIOS can be tricky, keep trying.
Set the BIOS to factory and the CD should show up in the boot menu or just boot automatically.

If you want to try to clean up your install, be aware it may take a long time and still fail. The good part about it is you will keep your data.
