This problem started because I couldnt run the 30 dollar game i just bought and downloaded and after endless headache dealing with the tech support there I realized it's problem with my windows firewall... and so the quest to turn on windows firewall began.

    I've tried three major things...

    1. I ran the services program and tried to start the firewall by right clicking and choosing start when i was confronted with this error message: windows could not start the windows firewall service on local computer.
error 1068: the dependency service or group failed to start. So i researched that for awhile and found nothing that worked.

    2. Then I ran windows firewall from the start bar and I got this error message: The windows firewall with advanced security snap-in failed to load. Restart the Windows firewall service on the computer that you are managing.
error code: 0x6D9. Researched that for awhile to no avail.

    3. And lastly I tried to run trend micros housecall and during the scan an windows error message kept popping up that said something about the connection between housecall and my computer was interrupted and whether or not i should resend. if i clicked cancel the box would immediately pop back up and when i clicked ok the scan stopped and wouldn't start again. I then tried bitdefender and pretty much the same thing happend.

Windows vista home premium service pack 1 64 bit
    intel core 2 duo p7450 @ 2.13GHz 2.13 GHz
    4 GB RAM

    Please help!!!

MGTools will run. It will not give us the full scans due to your system, but it will give us enough to look at a possible cause to your issues. I am doubtful that this is a malware issue, but rather something you may need to address in the software forums.

    Please attach the C:\MGLogs.zip
