    Download AproposFix by Swandog46

    Save it to your desktop or to another folder of its own, but do NOT run it yet!

    Now reboot your computer in Safe Mode! (You must be in safe mode or this fix will not work.)

    Once in Safe Mode, double-click aproposfix.exe which will give you a chice of where to unzip/install the program to). This is called the Destination folder in the window that popsup. So either install it to the Desktop or the folder where you downloaded the aproposfix.exe file to. It will create a new folder named aproposfix. Open the aproposfix folder and double click on RunThis.bat to run the fix. Follow the prompts.

    When the tool is finished, reboot back into normal mode, and post a new HijackThis log, along with the entire contents of the log.txt file that has been created in the aproposfix folder.

    Your HJT log is clean, run post #15 again to confirm everything was removed then attach that log.

    Bj, reg #15 post, u mean go & run #13, right?
    As i run it there was nothing in blue to show, but I've run it anyway.
    Suppose to reboot but it did not reboot, as it was done before.

    Just 10 min ago I was talking w/friend on the phone & he ask for my email, so instead of telling him & avoiding wrong spelling I said I'll send u my email.
    He received it in about 10=15 sec and he's reaction was " oooo shit!! Andrew U just send me a f...virus"
    Bj , where is this SO?

    BJ, this morning I scan my comp. w/ Norton and it shows that I’ve 2 viruses,
    Here is what it said;

    File name Treat name
    Ace.dll Spyware.Apropos.C
    WinGenerics.dll --------//---//---//----

    Descriptions;
    The compressed file ace.dll within backups\backup.zip within
    C:\Documents and settings\df\Desktop\aproposfix\backups\backup.zip

    The compressed file WinGenerics.dll within backups\backup.zip within
    C:\Documents and settings\df\Desktop\aproposfix\backups\backup.zip

    Where did that come from?

    As prompted I hit delete, so this 2 guys are in quarantine .
    Did they come with aproposfix?
    So friend of my was right, I send him a virus.

    This is Norton's quarantine folder, its kinda a backup if you will for found infections. It dis-infects somewhat and places them here if not delete.
    This is Pocket Killbox's backup folder. When you remove a file with Killbox its backed up here.
    This is the AproposFix I had you download to fix your problems. The folder detected is it's backups.

    You have no infections, these are all backups which can be deleted. Your logs are clean, and you should not be having any problems. Unless you sent him an email and manually attached those backup files then you didnt sent him a virus. I dont know what his problem is, but its not from this.
