I can't seem to figure out where I'm supposed to enable Ad-Aware to let it fix anything that needs to be fixed, as stated in the instructions. It found a few things wrong and asked if I wanted to delete the affected "objects." Not sure if deleting is fixing. I have the scan report if you need it.

Also, are these generic/all text "Messenger Service" boxes spyware or just pop-ups? How do i get rid of them?

I'm sure i'm leaving important info out, so ask away.

    Thanks in advance

After scanning finishes click Next. Now just right click in the scan window and select Select all objects. Then select Next to fix them all. Other choices would be to select individual items and either Quarantine them or completely delete them. Experiment a little. It is not that hard to figure out.

If you do not use Windows Messenger, and most people do not, just use the below (but it is only for WinXP):

    Uninstall Messenger
