So this thread is essentially pointless?

No point making two threads - it won't help at all.

Maybe the dingo ate your startups! <g>

Just kidding, really... A small tip here:

In the future if you whenever you post in any computer-related help forum; be sure to include a few details about when/how the problem came about as well as the specs for your particular system (like the operating system you're running, etc). This makes diagnosing your problem much easier, not to mention with much less chance of receiving erroneous tips that might not work or may even damage your system! ;)

Hi Reading your other thread on this, its likely as you were complaining of a slow PC, that you deleted the startups from running or removed some of the applications, to be honest a slim Startup ( ie. Registry Run Hives ) equal a quicker starting PC, as in the more you have in that list starting with your PC the more memory and CPU time is consumed thus slowing your PC down.

But you say your PC is now running faster in that thread?

As your runing Vista, do me a favour and rigth click the CCleaner icon and choose RUN as Administrator, then look at the Startup List, has it changed?

But try CCleaner 2.00.495 RC Beta as its a little more Vista compatible.

What worries me more is that you dont have any security items loading at boot, have you removed them and not replaced them?

As mentioned the more info you can give the better, plsu take a new screenshot of CCleaner and just rename it different to thr other and it will attach ok.
