I received an e-mail, apparently, from Microsoft warning of a potential worm. The mail had two links within the text (which I didn't click) that directed me to the supposed patch from Microsoft or more info about the worm at McAfee, so I went to the Microsoft site and the McAfee site and couldn't find the supposed anti-worm download or info at either sites.
Am I missing something, or is the mail the malicious threat?
Has anyone else heard of this "alqueta.backdoor.a" worm?

That doesn't sound legit, it sounds like a WORM that comes in the form of an e-mail. I would recommend deleting the e-mail and running the below steps.
