Alt gr not working

    windows 7 sp1

    hi guys on trying to use the 3rd symbol on any key using alt gr and key nothing is appearing. have also tried fn key, alt and shift together, ctrl and shift. all to no avail. I just got it second hand the hard drive was wiped and restarted. oddly alt gr and number produces a dollar sign but the rest of the buttons nothing.

    any help appreciated. :cry

    Oh yes my regional language is set to english uk and have also tried english US.
