Alternatives to JDownloader Needed

Hi

I have been using JDownloader for a number of years and found it extremely useful as a download manager and video downloader. However recently it has been flagged as malware by Spybot S&D (I made a post in the malware removal forum about it here http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=275185)

It seems to be downloading and installing toolbars and possibly other unwanted software without user consent. In my post above one of the links is to the JDownloader forums themselves and a lot of people have been experiencing this problem. Actually I have too, a toolbar was installed into IE without my knowledge. Since I never use IE I didn't know it was there until Spybot alerted me.

So, I was wondering if someone could give me the name of any other programs with the functionality of JDownloader. I am in withdrawl without it

I use Internet Download Manager available here.

There is a 30 day trial period, but it's worth the investment of $24.95/year thereafter because its the FASTEST download manager I've ever used for HTTP and FTP downloads.

For .torrent downloads I use qBittorrent (freeware) available here because it, too, is the fastest of the .torrent clients I've used. It seems to be able to locate and connect to more seeds than ANY of the others.
