    Hi Shelly

Nothing really jumps out in your Hijackthis log but it did need its .exe name changed from Hijackthis.exe to Analyze.exe, you accidently renamed its folder and not the main file, but for our malware experts to help you see if your being hijacked then you wil have to follow the below and attach all the logs, as Hijackthis is not a great all around tool and will miss many malwares.

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
      • CounterSpy
      • AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
      • Bitdefender - from step 6
      • Panda Scan - from step 6
      • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
      • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
      • HijackThis
NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!

    :)

Before you go any further right now, are you using an external mouse on your laptop? If so, try another mouse or try the built-in mouse without the other mouse connected.

If that does not help, you really will have to take your time and follow the directions that Halo gave you in message # 2. Don't jump around and don't read ahead. Read one step at a time slowly and follow the along with the directions. If you can download and install HijackThis (which was not renamed properly by the way) then you should be able to do the other steps in the READ ME. Your HijackThis log alone is of no help to us.

I don't know since you did not attach a new log. But if you are still renaming the folder, you are not following the directions. The executable program (hijackthis.exe) is what you are supposed to rename. You had

    C:\Program Files\analyse.exe\HijackThis.exe

    It should be:
    C:\Program Files\HJT\analyse.exe

I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem with your mouse but is does appear that you have problems that are not malware related. You will have to post this in the Software or Hardware Forum which is probably where you mouse problem belongs too. Unless you get me some logs from the tools in the READ ME there is nothing I can do for you. You do not appear to have malware just simply based on you first HJT log or on what you are telling us.

I will give you a link to read about your Save to disk feature error message
