This week. As horror is pulling our attention. The BBC is demanding registration to use its iplayer.
I don't like that. I think they have bulldozed this strategy.
I am 57 years old and have been paying the BBC to do there stuff since 1979. I have contributed but I don't trust forms. Making me contribute against my will seems very close to bullying. I would like the right not to be known.

It will allow me to register later on the radio iplayer.

It has been allowing me to register later for the last few weeks as I watched in Chrome.

The eventual requirement to register in order to stream any BBC broadcast media over a device, has been flagged by BBC online for months. The decision to make any current or previous content via iPlayer conditional upon holding a TV licence was made in parliament as part of the BBC's funding charter. You're not being hoodwinked, it's just the way it is.
