Am I Clean?

    Hi There,

    I Think I'm Infested. I Have Followed The Steps In Your "read And Run Me First" Please Find All The Scan Logs Requested Attached.
    Am I Clean? Or Is There More Cleaning To Be Done.

    I Would Be Very Gratefull If Anyone Could Help, Thankyou.

    Welcome to Major Geeks.

    You did a pretty good job of cleaning the system. There are still a few loose ends that still should be dealt with.

    Lets start by moving HijackThis to a better location. Download, unzip, then run the enclosed Visual Basic Script. Move_HijackThis

    The version of Java on your computer is out of date. Get teh latest version of Java available from Sun Microsystems. http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

    Empty the Norton quarintine folder.
    Empty the Recycle Bin.
    Empty the Norton Protected Recycle Bin


    Now run CCleaner. If you have Windows XP delete the contents of C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch.

    Then, as an added precaution, Go to Start -> Run and type: cleanmgr and then click OK. Make sure the boxes for these are checked:
    Temporary Files
    Temporary Internet Files
    Recycle Bin

    And Click OK.

    Scan with HijackThis and fix the following:
    Now reset your web Setting by following the instructions in this article:
    How to Reset Web Settings


    REBOOT to Safe Mode.

    Open Windows Explorer, navigate to and delete the following: (if they exist)
    Once again run CCleaner. If you have Windows XP delete the contents of C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch.

    Then, as an added precaution, Go to Start -> Run and type: cleanmgr and then click OK. Make sure the boxes for these are checked:
    Temporary Files
    Temporary Internet Files
    Recycle Bin

    And Click OK.

    REBOOT to Normal Mode.

    Disable System Restore. How to Disable System Restore

    REBOOT

    Enable System Restore

    REBOOT

    Post a fesh HijackTHis log.

    i have done all of the above. heres my new HJT log. hope i'm now clean. (sorry its not attached but it wouldnt let me upload for some reason)

    Scan with HijackThis and fix this line:
    Other than that your log is clean.
