amd 4800+

    hi guys im running a new processor (4800+) but was wondering if i need do do any BIOS updates etc to get the most out of the chip? I have cleared the cmos and done a clean install , any thing else i should do??

    ok thanks the reason i asked is because i just ran 3dmark05 and got a lower score than i did with my previous 3500+ single core? any comments

    ok then thats wrong...hmmmm. ok is your RAM DDR400? also can you post ur specs?

    asus u just reminded me of something. tsnami dream, go to device manager and click on ACPI. if it say 'multiprocessor' then ur fine. if it says 'uniprocessor' then windows is only working on one core...
