    Hi,

Im looking to get an AMD 5000+ Black Edition and overclock it to around 3.2 Ghz. I basicly have about £140 - £160 to spend on a new CPU/Mobo/Ram.

Ive always used AMD stuff and so from that point Im not really culed up on intel cpu's or motherboards. I know i should be but i'm not....

WHat im trying to ask is, am i getting the best setup for my money ie bank for buck.

I do intend to overclock but i read somewhere that the core 2 duo is about 25% quicker per clock....

I did have a look at the E4500 but again... i know very little about intel.

If anyone could give me some advice it would be appreicated.

@ stock speed, the 5000+ is better, however if you plan on overclocking, go with the E4500, much more headroom

either way you go both will give you an excellent rig. If you are more of an AMD guy stick with them :) Its all in what you are comfortable with.
