Im thinking about upgrading my computers processor... Right now it's a
    Slot 1 Pentium II Processor 266MHz! :(
I need to ask if i can install an AMD Processor Slot A into my motherboard, my motherboard is a Shuttle HOT-637P. Can someone tell me if i can use a AMD Slot A processor??
If i can does anyone know the maximum processor speed of an AMD Slot A processor??
I was looking for a Pentium III Processor Slot 1 to upgrade maybe more than 900MHz but couldn't find one so i was thinking about upgrading to AMD...

NO, there is no AMD processors on slot1 and slotA don't compatible with slot1, you can only insert INtel ones. but i advice you to buy a new MoBo new Proc.

what is your case and why other MoBo's can't fit it? anyway if you have a lack of money, i advise you to find pentium 3 procesor for slot 1, but it's rather difficult, may be ask your friend or so.

The brand of the case doesn't matter. Its the form factor that counts here. Please see this link for specifications on the various form factors. Most are ATX form factors, and by the looks of it, yours is as well. This WILL fit almost any motherboard on the market. You can check your power supply to find out for certain. It should have a sticker that says.

Sorry, I'm not following. Can you post a picture of that?

This shouldn't worry you. New motherboards come with new backplates, so you will have an opening for the onboard NIC.

This is a picture of a new motherboard just got it from google....
If you look at the pic of my case the soundcard whole are not pushed out yet..
And if you look at the pic in this post you can see the soundcard on the mothherboard wont fit in my case...

OH! Again, don't worry, a new motherboard will come with a new backplate that will have a hole for the network card AND sound card! :) The openings in the case should be the least fo your concerns!

Out in my building i have about 20 old cases, and out of them all 2 has a non removable plate for the mother board. Maybe he has one of these. ed
