AMD vs INTEL

what are the pros and cons of each processor? (AMD & INTEL)

ive looked on the google, and i couldn't find any information on a clear graph or final result.

are they both similar? confused

which is better value for money? rolleyes

Whats your budget for a processor? And if you didnt find graphs compareing the options,your not looking hard enough my friend.And what are you looking to do with this computer? Gameing,Rendering,Graphics etc...?

for my money if you can afford it go for the Intel every time.

 

Both chips are ok in my book, AMD built the front side bus into their chip, but Intel chips are built to handle more information. I hope they both stick around as the lack of competition would not be a good thing. Most Geeks I know prefer Intel, but I chose AMD for my laptop as I believe they run cooler.

 

AMD vs Intel..... ATI vs. NVidia.... it's really a question of preference. Many gamers swear by AMD as they seem to be easier to overclock; but the newer generations of Intel CPU's now have some serious OC'ing ability too. I personally think you get more bang-for-the-buck with AMD. But if you can afford it, I'd buy an Intel. Intel CPU's are generally a little costlier. For example: a 3gz Intel chip will cost 15-20% more than an equivilant Athlon64. I think the choice of CPU really depends on the PC's primary use. If you're going to be playing high end games, go with an AMD. If you need a fast business machine or server, go with Intel. For all purpose home use (some games, some internet, some home finances, some homework for the kids, etc) either CPU will be fine.
