Is possible if it landed just right, on a small rock, but extremely unlikely. And bullets and shotgun shells going off outside of a chamber don't make damage like that. The shell would go farther than the shot would. Think for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The lead shot is heavy, and the case is very light...

And how is this a tip for me? I think I know what end the bullet or shot goes out of. :cool
