I know that the higher the amperage the faster a phone or tablet will recharge but can a charger's amperage be too high for a particular product. For example a phone came with 1.0 amp charger, is it safe to replace it with a 2.1 amp charger??

    Thanks

It is; however there are claims that it will damage the battery over time.
