    Hi,

Does anyone know if an anchor can contain both a name attribute and an href attribute, and if so, what would be the proper way to code it. Thanks in advance...

    Thanks Robo

    Robo,

I appreciate your help, and have put it to the test. The edited example you posted worked like a charm.

    <A HREF="YDOC.html" NAME="XXX">GO IN CIRCLES</A>...

I searched several different resources for this answer, and apparently I was not wording my search just right, because I could never find the solution. I was beginning to think this must not be possible to do.

Anyway, you have helped me out greatly, and I truly appreciate it. Thanks!

Thanks for the compliment Robo, I appreciate that coming from you. I hate to be a nuisance, but I was wondering if you might be able to give me a little more advice. I had this jerk who posted to a message board that I belong to saying that I have several errors on two of my pages in particular, the index page and my contact page. I really don't understand what he is trying to tell me, and was wondering if you could maybe clue me in. This is what he posted:

    Hi,
The site is really good..First i want to tell that i am not degrading ur designing but just giving u my suggestion.. I have checked ur html and found errors in it..do check these pages for html,

    http://www.imomnetwork.com/ (found 202 errors)
    http://www.imomnetwork.com/contact.html (found 181 errors)

But the good thing is that i have not found any warnings when i have done the html validation...So do keep these things in future designings...Anyway most of the site's pages contain some errors but all we need to concentrate on reducing such errors and warnings...

    Thank you,
    Admag

What the heck is he talking about? I realize he must have viewed my source, which just makes me want to encrypt my pages, but he has thrown me with this no warnings stuff and keep these things in the future. And how or where did he check them, do you know? I use Arachnophilia as my editor, I open the page in it and had it analyze my index page and it did report that I had 28 unmatched tags, but it never said anything about 202 errors. Any input on this? If you could just answer one of the many questions, I will be extremely grateful. Sorry I got so wordy, I'll shut up now. ~~~Thanks...

    Would love for you to!

Thanks once again Robo, and no hurry. I appreciate you taking time out for me. I did it all in Arach, but didn't really use the wizards available, I did most of it by hand. However, I was teaching myself HTML, and this was my first attempt ever at web design, so I am sure I made several mistakes.

Would love to hear your input!
