---and after the download----!?

Hello all,
New to computers, new to forums but old in life!
I've just downloaded the Nero 6.6.1.4. programme to "save". When I try to install it (run) I get as far as the page that has - Name, company, Number on it. I put my name in. (I am a private individual not a company) so I put "My home" in that space. I have no idea what to put in for Number. I have tried all sorts of random numbers and letters - but all to no avail.
Has anyone got some advice on how to proceed )

You need to register for a Number. ($$$)

There are freeware burners but it depends on what you want to burn.

Do you get the option when setting up nero to use the 'demo' version? If so go with the demo. You will get some but not all options in the program working. It will eventually expire.

Right, thanks. I had this before, got a virus, had computer "cleaned" and 'lost' the nero programme, which was originally free from Nero. Now, I cant get it back. I downloaded the trial 7.5 version, but it expired, as you noted. I didn't realise you had to pay for a registration for a number!,. Many thanks for your reply
