    man who claims to have had sex with 1,000 cars has defended his "romantic" feelings towards vehicles.

    Edward Smith, who lives with his current "girlfriend" – a white Volkswagen Beetle named Vanilla, insisted that he was not "sick" and had no desire to change his ways.

    "I appreciate beauty and I go a little bit beyond appreciating the beauty of a car only to the point of what I feel is an expression of love," he said.

    "Maybe I'm a little bit off the wall but when I see movies like Herbie and Knight Rider, where cars become loveable, huggable characters it's just wonderful.

    If they molest my car I will kill them! lol, thats the saddest thing I have seen since the latex website for people who love wearing latex.

    How did i miss this thread?     I've actually heard that arguement before, in another place and time..

    I WOULD fuss a little on some word substitutions...... but the only other people I've heard use that particular arguement are child molesters and people like NAMBLA.

    He's sick, but it's the difference between apples and cess pools.

    This reminds me of a very striking movie, it won a 1996 Cannes Award (Jury Award for originality, daring and audacity). I found it very intriguing, intelligently plotted and well exicuted. J.G. Ballard is a very profound writer and Cronenburg is an incredible diector.

    I really liked this movie. It presented very interesting psychological landscape, in which the automobile accident served as a living metaphor for sex.

    There are two movies, called "CRASH". One stars Holly Hunter and James Spader, and that's the one I'm referring to.
