Android Smart Box

Help needed by this blonde as fed up getting conflicting advice and people just out to extort money out of someone who is not in the know. So here goes:-

I want to use an Android Smart Box to watch tv via the internet rather than tying up my computer all the time. Two companies have told me completely different things so now completely confused. One has said that only the Android 4.2.2 smart box will work here in Cyprus. The other has said that the 4.1 is better as it is faster. Having searched the internet I am unable to find anything comparing the two smart boxes - yep can find phones but not the boxes. Being technology challenged I need some simple straight advise from someone who is not going to gain any business out of me and just tell me the truth. One shop said they have sold hundreds of them and no problems (the 4.1 - he doesn't have the 4.2.2 and said they are too slow) Help please from a frustrated blonde :confused

 

always go for the latest OS
it sounds like the guy with the older OS boxes is just trying to make a sale

 

Both Android versions should work in Cyprus. Both are trying to make the sale. As far as watching online TV, your internet connection and the hardware inside the boxes will have more effect than the minor differences between the two software versions. I would compare the processors and RAM to get a better idea about which might work better.
