   I just saw a headline that he died last night after an operation. He just retired from 60 Minutes about a month ago.
   
   I was never a fan of 60 minutes, but did generally like his segment.

   I used to watch 60 Minutes but hated the frenzied pace. Ya Rooney was one of a kind when I did watch and I enjoyed his curmudgeonly like style. Complained like I do these days of my dotage years.:-D R.I.P. man and don't piss off the gatekeeper!roflmao
