What do people think of the animated film Bolt? I've been seeing a few previews for this and have been pretty impressed by what I've seen. The animation seems pretty fluid and that hamster has some hilarious lines. Any other animated film fans? Here's the trailer.

That was a pretty cool trailer. I will probably have to see that. Animated films have definitely taken a turn for the better with the adult content hidden within a childrens movie. I am a fan. Good post.

Here's some good news- just read a review of the film over at Cartoon Brew and said the first 15 minutes is pure action, and extremely exciting stuff. He goes on to give the film his recommendation. I'm glad to see early reviews from this are positive.

Here's a quick summery... "Overall, I really enjoyed the film - especially its digs at the behind the scenes world of network television production. Bolt is a lot of fun, and a good step in the right direction as Disney continues to rebuild its brand in Feature Animation."

Yea- from the looks of it, I would have to say Jack Russel. Sort of reminds me of an updated, animated, cooler sleeker Lassie... in the fact they're both dogs and help people. I think Bolt is really going to benefit having the release come around Thanksgiving.

So reviews have been pretty good for the film thus far, that's always a good sign. New York Magazine called it delightful and praised Travollta's voice over work. I'm glad to see that the film will be good, since all those clips they released were pretty entertaining.

The Disney animated blockbuster-to-be Bolt is a delightful family movie… as Bolt, John Travolta is inspired: His voice still cracks like an adolescent’s, and he has the perfect dopey innocence. Susie Essman gives the cat’s reflexive bitchiness some depth (she’s a hurtin’ hellion), and I have to admit that until I heard Miley Cyrus’s Penny, I underestimated the throaty expressiveness of her voice. Mark Walton (an actual cartoon-voice guy and not a marquee name!) makes the fat hamster (who might have been an irritant) sing. In theaters equipped to show the film in 3-D, your tickets come with glasses, through which the animals look even more huggable.
