annoying entries in add/remove

hi all,
i have some annoying obsolete entries in my add/remove programs, how do i delete them ?,
i have uninstalled some programs but they are still listed,

Do you have ccleaner? If so, or if not, download/install/run ccleaner:

next click the tools button on the left. On the right you should see a list of programs that you can either: Delete entry, uninstall entry, rename entry, or save to .txt file.

So, go ahead and delete those that you know for a fact don't belong there.

Also, I'd run the normal tools built into ccleaner.

already have ccleaner in my armoury, and used it, but they are still there, also i use regseeker but to no avail,
i know these are not nasties just normal program left-overs, one is from my old printer, an epson, another one is itunes and so on

 

Sometimes if you try to remove them again, you get a message that it cant find them, and then asks if you want them removed from the list. ed

The following is the location in the registry that you can find the entries for add/remove:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

I'd export the uninstall key, just in case, for backup.

just had a look and they are not there, these are programs i have already uninstalled, they are not in my program files just an entry in add/remove

 

they are also in the spybot and hjt uninstall info

 

In spybot go to your uninstall info page then simply high light and delete the entries from there.

just done it with spybot and it worked, the entries have gone from add/remove, going to re-boot and check again (just in case)

I have a slightly different problem, but didn't know where to post. I have the sound editor Quartz Audio Master Freeware 460E on my computer. It functions and is listed in Programs. But it is not listed in Add/Remove, or in Ccleaner remove list. I think I might have screwed something up trying to uninstall it before, and it got hidden in Add/Remove. There is no uninstaller with the program, and Digital Sound Planet tech support doesn't respond to repeated inquiries. How do you uninstall something in this situation? Any help greatly appreciated -JWD XP, SP2
