 I was viewing my component services on my way to defrag and in event viewer security log I found a user called anonymous logon has been in my security source on and off since march 2006 as a catagory logon/logoff and each event registers exactly 540....under the type security audit

I have searched all the applications and can not find where the access is permitted.

What do I have going on???

Hopefully someone can answer this better than I, but the first thing I would do is to click on that user and in security properties deny all permissions.

Had to run out for a while .... sorry .... you also need to download some protection ...port blocker or zone alarm ....on the top freeware picks on the MG home page.

What operating system are you running XP (home/pro), 2k, 9x?

Do you have a webserver installed, or an ftp server installed?
