    Greetings,
The hits just keep on coming!! I too have become infected. My dilemma is that I can't boot into safe mode. When I do, the system, XP Pro, begins to load the drivers then freezes. After the hard drive runs for about 3 hours, with the DOS screen still frozen, I'm treated to the BSOD. In short it says to check hard drives ***Stop: 0x0000007c (0xc0000005, 0xa6758315, 0xba507684, 0xba507380). Booting up normal results in frozen "welcome" screen and frozen mouse. Running the utility/diagnostic disk yielded nothing. Thank you in advance.

If your PC will not boot in safe mode nor in normal mode, you do not have too many options since we cannot run our cleaning procedure on an unbootable PC. Things you could try:
    1. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545
    2. Or mount the drive into another properly protected PC and run scans on this infected drive in an attempt to remove some components of the infections that are making it unbootable.
    3. Or use another PC to create a CD like this UBCD4Win and then boot with this CD and use it to try and scan and clean your PC.
    4. Or possibly make a CD like one of the below and use it to help you attempt to repair your PC.
    5. Or reinstall.
