another problem

My computer has developed a new habit. It seems to run fine and opens pages the way it should, but if I click on a link in any of those pages it will freeze and the only way out is control-alt-delete. Then I can go back and resume working online --untill-- I click on a link again. Then it is frozen again!! Don

It freezes when I click on the link you gave me!! What do you suggest now?

Have you tried booting into safemode with networking? (Hit F8 when you reboot). Then try the link. Or copy and paste the link in the URL part of the browser.

This time I clicked on the link and it opened. My computer seems to work perfect except for clicking on links. I could understand if I got a message to allow or not to allow. That I understand, but this freezing of the page is new to me and just started a few days ago.
I can go to the windows key and open a new page but the frozen page will remain frozen and when I want to exit everything else will exit but I will have to use control-alt=delete to get rid of that page.
I will do the cleaning they recomend but I do have c/cleaner and use it almost every day and defrag after.
