This is something I've wanted to do for a while now but wasn't sure of how big of a PITA it would end up being.

My current setup is running a GTX285 with dual monitors. It works GREAT.

I've wanted to add another video card and use it's HDMI out for my television to watch stuff from my PC on the tv.

I was looking to pick up a "Cheaper" card with HDMI out and dedicate it to my TV only.

    Here's my concerns...

    1. My television automatically turns on when it receives a signal from any of my other HDMI components. Would it be the same when I fire up my pc?

    2. When I want to watch a movie from my PC on my TV, would it involve a bunch of display changes within windows just to get it to work each and every time?

Maybe I'm overlooking a way to accomplish this easier. Any suggestions would be welcome!

    Thanks!

well it will fire on the tele does not know if the signal is from pc or another source so if it is an auto to switch it will switch

well you will set the resolution of the tv and then open the player to open at the tv you will deal tv as a common monitor in this case.
