Ant Connector ??

    I want to hook up two monitors to my desktop PC and turned to the internet to figure out what I need and what I need to do. Most online "how to" articles suggest hooking up the 2nd monitor to the video board. However, when I looked at the back of my computer (Gateway CX4860-UP2IP) the only board installed has something called an ANT connection. What I've found online, unfortunately, doesn't make much sense to me. Can someone explain, in simple language please<g>, what this thing is and what it's supposed to do?

    As for the two monitor hook-up ... my PC does have an HDMI slot and my monitors have DVI connectors so I'll us a HDMI to DVI Display Adapter/Cable/Connector for the hook-up and it looks like Windows 7 will take care of the software side.

    According to this, the computer has a D-Sub VGA port and an HDMI port

    I don't think you can use both of those ports at the same time.

    Wait until someone that has more than one monitor hooked up responds.

    I think the ant connector is for an antenna to use wireless instead of ethernet on the computer.

    Thanks plodr. I have my 2nd monitor hooked up and working fine using the HDMI port on my desktop.

    It may be, but my desktop works fine as a wireless without any additional wires. Here's a shot of the board and connector.

    Perhaps that is for a cable connection and is a tv tuner card?

    It looks like the coax connectors.
