I currently use Jetico Personal Firewall and Avast Antivirus, along with Spyware guard and Blaster, good combo.

I use Sygate firewall and nothing else period. if you use good surfing habits you dont need all that, have been clean for over three years. ed

yes but its better to be safe that sorry, say you accidentally come upon a site that is filled with malicious software, you might never know and with out antivirus or anti-spyware, the chances of gettin infected are much greater.

trojan remover, cwshredder, and peerguardian2 arent generally needed, those are for specific infections, but its up to each persons preference.

correct, they aren't needed for a day to day basis. but i'd rather have them all ready installed on my computer rather than have to download and uninstall them when i do need them. great programs though, IMO. peerguardian2 logs a lot of activity, blocks a wide range of ips, just a security precaution. better safe than sorry IMO.

Like I said, its up to each persons preference, every person has their own sense of security.
