AntiVir Personal Edition

I downloaded AntiVir Peronal Edition 6 for Windows Me. It has been some time and I wanted to upgrade to 7, so I thought I had deleted 6 and downlaoded 7. Now it won't let me install 7 because it says not all of 6 is deleted. Help! What do I do now?

 

How did you delete V6.0 and have you rebooted your PC since uninstalling it?

I went to add and remove programs. It said that It was removed but it still shows on the program list and yes i rebooted.

 

Did you disable the software before attempting to delete it?

Download Your Uninstaller! 2006 and install it.
Start the program in PRO mode and go to Tools>Options>Match
Now select Average
Then try to uninstall AntiVir Peronal Edition 6 normally.
If it doesnt uninstall then go to Action>Force Uninstall
Now download and run CCleaner
Now try reinstalling
