Computer is running fine and allowing me to access your web site using the infected computer, where I could not do so before running READ AND RUN ME FIRST guide. Before running the above I could not run the following Spybot, Ad-Aware, AVG and being redirected on web sites. Now All works.

    Ran: House Cleaning and Setup
Step 1: Removed ViewPoint Manager(Remove only)
    Step 2: OK
    Step 3: XP Cleaning Procedure
Ran: Super Antispyware, Spybot, MalwareBytes, Combofix and
Mgtools. All above found and removed viruses, Trojans
    and Malware.

Need to know if ok to proceed with Toggle Restore and resetting MSconfig
along with enable of files and extensions that were done in house cleaning.

Hi there and welcome to the forums.

You mentioed that you ran Combofix but you still need to attach the log it generated for me to look at.

Also MGTools.exe did not run properly. Did you receive any error messages? Did you let it run completely or did you perhaps exit the program prematurely?

In any case you will need to run it again. ~ Please ensure that you now go to this link USING MGTOOLS and download the new version of MGtools.exe using the black bold print link in the first sentence. Overwrite your previous MGtools.exe file with this one.

So in your next reply could I see the following:

    • A log from combofix which you will locate here if you ran it c:\combofix.txt
    • And a fresh MGlogs.zip from running the newest MGTools.exe. Make sure you do not exit this program until it has run to completion and also note down any error messages that you may receive.

Here are the new files you requested. The first time I ran Mgtools, I did not get any errors and it ran to the end. This time it seemed to show more bat files then the first time. Hope this helps.

I seem to have a problem now with some emails that open a window in Explorer, that the window only opens a small portion of the window and freezes until I X out of it. This was not a problem before until I ran all of the tools requested. This only seems to be a minor situation.

    Hi

    1) Please go to Add or Remove Programs and uninstall the following softwares which are all old versions of java:

    • J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 11
    • J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6
    • J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 9
    • Java(TM) 6 Update 10
    • Java(TM) 6 Update 2
    • Java(TM) 6 Update 3
    • Java(TM) 6 Update 5
    • Java(TM) 6 Update 7
    • Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 1
    • Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4 <---- outdated

    2) You still have SpyBot Search & Destroy's Teatimer running. Please refer to this link here for how to diable it before we move on because it could interfere with the fix.

    How to Disable Spybot's teatimer

    3) Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {CD67F990-D8E9-11d2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE} - (no file)

    After clicking Fix exit HJT.

    4) Now we need to use ComboFix to remove a bunch of malware files.

    • Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
    • If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    • Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below code box into it
(make sure you scroll all the way down in the code box to get all lines selected ):
    Code:

    KILLALL::

    File::
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\danumom.sys
    c:\windows\ikahuc.dl
    c:\documents and settings\Doc\Application Data\oxoca.scr
    c:\windows\naheguwel._sy
    c:\windows\ohix.dl
    c:\documents and settings\Doc\Application Data\quraposim.exe
    c:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\ycahez.vbs
    c:\windows\system32\paromujac._dl
    c:\windows\ozejyxyj.bat
    c:\documents and settings\Doc\Application Data\rijas.reg
    c:\program files\Common Files\epysecej.inf
    c:\program files\Common Files\afudyz.db
    C:\Documents and Settings\Doc\Local Settings\Application Data\ilecy.ban

    • Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    • At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    • You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    • Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe

    • Follow the prompts.
    • When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    • I will ask for this log below

    Note:

Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    5) Now reboot your machine and install the most current and up to date version of Java available here at the below link:

    Java Runtime 6

    6) Now Run Ccleaner!

    7) I see that you were once using Symantec but are now using AVG Free 8.0. Are you having trouble uninstalling the below?:

If so Please download and run the Norton Removal Tool (SymNRT) reboot your machine and run it again.

    8) Now use Windows Explorer to find and delete the following leftover symantec directory:

    • c:\program files\Common Files\Symantec Shared

    9) Also as Viewpoint is now uninstalled, delete the following leftover folders:

    • c:\program files\Viewpoint
    • c:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\Viewpoint

    10) Also delete all files in the below folders except ones from the current date (Windows will not let you delete the files from the current day).

    11) Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this and also attach the log from Combofix

Let us know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and also let me know how things are running now.

In ADD and REMOVE PROGAMS: When remove "Spybot - Search & Destoy1.4"
it deleted access to program. I had to reinstall it to get it active again.

Could not remove the following folders, they could not be found:
    * c:\documents and settings\All users\Application Data\Viewpoint
    * C:\documents and settings\Doc\Local Settings\Temp

    Everything else ran good

Your logs are clean, just Windows Messenger to be rid of and the below final steps to work thru.

If you do not use Windows Messenger Run this Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommed you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix (if it exists)
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
