Antivirus Advice

    I'm running Win7 with 2gb of ram on new laptop. I was wondering if someone could recommend me some easy to use AV product which will not annoy me with pop-ups but work in background and make my system safe. Usually I don't browse on Warez sites and I don't use bittorrent.

    Every AV program will have to have some amount of popup warnings to notify you of what is going on. Thus you cannot completely avoid this as it is an important part of your security and keeping you informed. Programs we recommend are in the below sticky thread:

    How to Protect yourself from malware!


    I suggest that you try either of the below which are two from the above link. Microsoft Security Essentials may be more transparent which seems to be what you want
