I have installed Antivir, advanced windows care v2 and a squared. I have read here that you should only use one version of each type of tool. Are these okay to have together? I also liked adaware when I used it before. Can I download this as well? Thanks....Tan.

These are okay to use together since A-squared is designed to work along side your antivirus program which is AntiVir. Advance Windwos Care is only a scanner for adware, spyware,....etc so it is not a problem to use with the others. You do need to install and antispyware blocking tool. See the one list in the below link:

If your version of Ad-Aware is the older SE version it is okay and it is also only an after the fact scanner. If it is Ad-Aware 2007, I don't recommend it since it wastes too many system resources since it installs a service which is always running and cannot be removed. The effect on system performance is to great for a program that is only a scanner and a mediocre one at that.
