Antivirus Live

    My nephew was over and apparently downloaded a file (from a porn site no less) and now I have this Antivrus Live that has deactivated Avast and is replicating. I can't stop the replicating nor can I remember how to start in safe mode so I can start removing this. I did read the similar posts but restarting in safe mode is mt first sticking point

    I have managed to find and open in safe mode and am running malwarebytes full scan

    guess I will keep a running monolog. I have reset to normal mode and was running superanti spyware and my pc did a physical dump and shut down.

    Just keep going through as much of the malware removal process as possible. Don't stop if one step doesn't work, continue on. Ideally I would like for you to be in normal mode if possible when running tools, however, obviously if you cannot then use safe mode. The logs I would like to see will be from running the following but just attach what logs you DO have into your next reply here.

    • SUPERantispyware
    • Malware Bytes
    • RootRepeal
    • Combofix
    • MGTools

    I was able to remove the malicious beast, after working on through the different steps. The one "reminder" I do not recall seeing was to update spyblaster. I did this yesterday and was really surprised at the new items that we were not protected from. As for posting my logs, well my wife uses that pc, I did not get back on it for a couple of days and could not find my logs. I will do a more thorough search for them when I next get a chance. I am so thankful for the instructions and have been recommending my friends to join.

    Ok. The R&R explains exactly where to retrieve the logs from, so do refer back to it, locate them and attach here.
