AntiVirus Personal Edition, Freeware`

I installed AVG Personal Edition from your website a time ago and it disappeared. I tried to uninstall the rest of the parts because previously I had a virus and with your help successfully removed the virus and repaired my windows programs back to the original status. Now I wanted to re-install the AVG virus program and when I tried to install it after downloading it, it is saying that there were previous versions on the computer and it wouldn't install. So I investigated and found a few files of it on my computer and tried to delete them and it won't delete because it is saying that some files were corrupted and a re-install would fix it. So, it won't install, it won't uninstall, so how in the world do I remove it? I have in the past used the 2006 uninstaller (which is awesome) but my trial of it has expired and it won't let me uninstall or re-install. So what do I do? I need an anti-virus program on my computer and I have used Avast, but that has expired too. Please help.

 

Remove those files with one of these programs:

Unlocker 1.85 http://www.majorgeeks.com/Unlocker_d4660.html

MoveOnBoot http://www.snapfiles.com/get/moveonboot.html

 

I tried using both of these programs, neither one of them worked. The reboot one didn't work at all, and I put the unlocker on it and when I Try to right click the file after unlocking, now it automatically goes to error occurred on the page would you like to send an error report and closes the whole page. So why does that happen now? Is there a virus in it?

 

Both Unlocker and MoveOnBoot are normally very reliable. I suspect your computer is still infected, post about this on the Malware Removal forum.

 

HJT is good to delete files on reboot.
When you install ,open HJT,click on config,go to misc tools,click"delete files on reboot",find what you want to delete,it will ask you to restart,and ok.

 

HijackThis invokes the same Windows function as MoveOnBoot. Good chance it won't do it either. If you already have HjT installed, it wouldn't hurt to try, though.

 

Why not download the full version from www.DDL2.com Avast,Kapersky,o bitdefender are all available on there...Or try using emule.
