    Well it seems that I have teh dreaded problem, and no matter what i do it keeps on coming back.....so here i am askin for help !
    I know how i got it, by clicking on a link for a flash player or something.
    Ok, firstly i have followed the cleaning procedure on these forums using SUPERAntispyware, Malwarebytes, Spybot S&D, Combofix, and MGtools! I had even done it twice, and after the first time it seemed like the problem had gone, but alas those fake security alerts kept popping up, so i went thru the procedure again and everything went well until i had to turn of my Antivirus to run combofix, thats when the fake wallpaper popped up, the antivirus xp 2008 installation pop-up appeared and then the fake security warning again. Anyway I finished all the cleaning progs and got all the logs together and tried to change my desktop wallpaper from the horrid thing that was there, clicked on properties and now there is no desktop tab in the properties tab.............

    PLZ HELP, I dont want to have to do another reformat, i just did 1 not long ago...
    thnx in advance,
    here are my logs.

    Some items to clean up. :)

    Run this: Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

    Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

    Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

    Now Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
    Now we need to use ComboFix to remove a bunch of malware files.

    * Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
    o If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    * Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below code box into it (make sure you scroll all the way down in the code box to get all lines selected ):
    Code:
    KILLALL::

    DirLook::
    C:\etax2008

    File::
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\djkeqn.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\prbondqe.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\qdpdrybe.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\mpqnwhna.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\onokppdt.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\gxgjufkl.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\urshefsl.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ducgcqij.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\cbvtsjcq.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\gtsheufm.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\jjwrohsh.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\onokppdt.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\vdmwectb.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\lphc78gj0ej7j.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\S2E98BBB4.tmp

    Folder::
    C:\Program Files\rogvwie
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\hynqpebc
    C:\WINDOWS\S2E98BBB4.tmp

    * Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    * At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    * You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    * Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe
    * Follow the prompts.
    * When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    * I will ask for this log below

    Note:

    Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    Also delete all files in the below folders except ones from the current date (Windows will not let you delete the files from the current day).
    C:\WINDOWS\Temp
    C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Temp

    Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this and also attach the log from Combo.

    Be sure to tell us how things are running.

    First off, Thanks for the quick reply...appreciated :)

    My system seems to be running fine, but it was before also. I still have an annoying wallpaper entry (added a jpeg file if thats ok with you guys), and it appears that i'm still getting the fake security alerts popup, but one good thing is that the desktop tab in display properties has comeback, so i can at least change my desktop from the fake wallpaper.....anyway attached are the logs you requested......Thnx again !

    We are getting there.....If you haven't already, please disable the Guest account in User accounts.

    * I will ask for this log below

    Note:

    Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune. This program does not require an installation. The executable actually runs the program.

    NOTE: This program is for Windows XP and Windows 2000 only. ATF Cleaner will remove all files from the items that are checked so if you have some cookies you'd like to save. Please move them to a different directory first.

    * Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
    * Under Main choose: Select All
    * Click the Empty Selected button.

    If you use Firefox browser

    * Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
    * Click the Empty Selected button.
    o NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

    If you use Opera browser

    * Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
    * Click the Empty Selected button.
    o NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

    Click Exit on the Main ATF Cleaner menu to close the program.

    Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this and also attach the log from Combo.

    Be sure to tell us how things are running.

    Looking good!! Let's do some cleanup from the scans:

    If you haven't already, please disable the Guest account in User accounts.

    Now Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
    Make sure you get a success message. If you do:

    it is time to do our final steps:

    1. You can uninstall SUPERAntiSpyware now.
    2. We recommed you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware as a scanner. It uses no resources except a little disk space until you run a scan.
    3. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.

      • Delete the C:\combo-fix folder from combofix.

    4. If we had you run Avenger, you can delete all files related to Avenger now.
    5. If we had you run RenV.exe, you can delete it and the Log.txt file on your Desktop.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    7. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    8. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    9. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    10. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    11. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

    12. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
