antivirus2009

hi all me again. I spent most of my weekend helping some friends go through the read and run me first that you have taught me..so this is how i recognized what happened to my computer this morning. there was a balloon that said my computer was at risk because my virus program was not up to date. I checked my antivir and it was running fine. that was when i realized that it was the beginning of the antivirus 2009 "thing" (sorry that is what I call it). I stopped everything and ran malawarebytes it found nothing. I checked on line for all the running process to look for . I found none. the little shield is still on my tool bar. Thankfully my internet is not redirecting me to other sites that have nothing to do with what you click on (that is what was happening to everyone else) I am going to begin the Read and run me first process on my computer tonite unless you can tell me other things that i can do first (sorry tis was so long)

 

ty i am starting tonite but may take a while to get logs sent because i work during the day

 

Good Morning.. I am a happy happy person.. I started the clean up last nite and Malaware and superantispy did not find anything. When I got tired I shut the computer down for the nite and went to sleep. This morning when I booted up the little shield was still there but I decided to run my Antivir anyway. It told me that for some reason it had not done an update in 4 days. (usually every nite) When I ran the update the shield was gone. I guess it was really windows letting me know something was wrong.. Thankfully it was not Antivirus2009. If you think I should I will continue otherwise I am pretty sure my computer is ok

As always you are a big help and I will continue to recommend you to everyone who asks me how I learned to keep my computer clear.

One more question do you recommend any other virus progam besides Antivir. I used to run AVG but did not like the new verson
