any fenceheads here?

i am trying to ID which ep of picket fences begins with the two boys having a fight over a visiting girl (asian...playing violin i think).

it is just the cold open and not important enough to achieve mention in the various epguides i've found. and various google attempts have come up empty.

if i had faster wifi, i'd DL all 88 episodes and search by hand. but i don't, so i won't.

anyone here enough of a fan to know offhand? or even partial info (such as "same episode as..." or "that was season...")?

i don't mind DLing 8 or 9 wrong episodes to find it, but 88 is hopeless.

Does Picket Fences usually start with "Previously on Picket Fences" flashbacks of previous episodes ?
If it does and the fight was shown at the beginning then it could be episode 14 or 15 etc you are looking for
If you can remember other things that happened in that episode then the episode summary at TV.com might give you a clue

guess i got sloppy after months of dead-end googling and reliance on several OTHER ep guides.

 

season 4 ep 13...so after 3+ days of DLing over my snail speed dialup, it turns out that the ep 13 floating around is actually...EP 12 MISLABELLED!!!! ugh. what are the odds?!

so i try ep 14, hoping the skew will carry over...another 3+ days...nope, that's indeed ep 14 as labelled! in fact, out of the whole 88 episodes, it looks like season 4 ep 13 is the ONLY one missing/mislabeled!!

in the other direction ep 12 nowhere to be found....

hoo boy, this is gonna take a while.

 

hoo boy. this was a lot of work!

hulu/tv.com/etc don't carry seasons 3 or 4 and the various "file hosts" and t*rrents out there all seem to carry the same jumble. namely:

eps 1-5 OK
ep 6 missing
ep 7 OK
"ep 8" actly ep 13 (BINGO!)
"ep 9"-"ep 13" actly minus 1 (i.e. ep 8-12)
ep 14++ OK

so in the end, 8 thru 13 were left-shifted and looped around (mathematical term = ??). and the absense of 6 was a total red herring (on which i wasted many an hour, i might add!).

i basically ended up DLing the entire season from 4 diff sources. pretty much the "88 files" i was trying to avoid!
