Any Recommendations For Clone/imaging Disk Backup Programs?

    I want to clone a copy of my desktop drive. Anyone have a recommendation for a good program to use?

    Please ignore my question. I can't find a way to delete it. After having read several threads I think I need imagining rather than cloning and I need to learn more about partitioning before I go forward.

    This is such a great place to get answers!!

    Yes and your question is fine as cloning/imaging similar and TBH I go for a paid solution to this in Acronis True Image and have done for over 10yrs, never failed me yet, HOWEVER you can do this for free we have loads of them tested here http://www.majorgeeks.com/mg/sortname/drive_cloning_imaging.html

    A few to look at and see what suits you best are
    Acronis True Image 2018 (it is paid software but very good IMO)
    Aomei Backupper (this is pretty good for freeware)

    You may get a few more replies, but I have used both of the above so can only comment on those as to doing the job,

    Note I have edited your title to reflect Clone/Imaging programs.

    Like David I have used Acronis for many years and trust it, but I like a belt and braces approach to imaging so also put my trust in the free version of Macrium Reflect. For partitioning use Partition Wizard.
