Any way to disable Dell XPS Cage fan error?

I have an 6 year old Dell XPS that I removed a internal cooling fan because it was too noisy and wanted to replace it. I removed it and keep getting the " cage fan" error in bios. Is there a way to disable the error reporting? I know that Dell runs a neutered BIOS; leaving you with very few options, but is there a hidden tech menu I could access?

    Thanks

Hows does the error reporting reveal itself? Alarm? text at post? Does it fail to boot into windows?

In bios; it gives a beep code, then sit there till you choose either F1 (start normally) or F2 (setup menu).

I need more than just Dell XPS before I can search for the user manual and see what your BIOS looks like.

You know if it turns out you can't disable the warning in bios just buy a quieter 3 pin fan, only a couple of bucks.
