Anybdoy have intrest in severe weather here/storm chaser?

I have a strong interest severe weather and wondering if anybody here has interest in it or is a storm chaser?

 

I really like storms and I take pictures of them but no way to upload em for me.

 

why cant you upload them?

 

I do, even did a college class for it. Can't drive anymore, so don't chase it. I use Opera for a browser, and it has what's called speed dial. I have out of 25 spaces, 7 having to do with weather...My town has a rain and creek gage, two from the National Weather service, one for radar. The Weather Channel, a local TV channel KCRA Weather, has lots of stuff on their site. Here in California for state roads, there is CHP site and I can find weather stuff from there. And like most of us here in CA, I have a earthquake site to look at as well....Wobbles

 

Been through a couple of tornados in my life, the first when I was about 6, the second I was 23. Damn loud roaring overhead, sounded like a freight train in the sky. It crossed the river, making a spout, hit the warehouse across the street from where I lived, remember seeing a large sliding door spiraling up into the sky, scary as hell.

No, I don't chase them, I would go the other way and let others get the pics.:wave:wave:wave

I would if I had a more reliable car lol, I love violent weather, used to live on the seafront, saw some awesome stuff. Couple of years ago my boy phoned me at work, poor kid was freaking ot because a tornado had touched down a couple of blocks over and he couldn't see across the street through the debris flying around, of course I told him to get into the basement etc but I was soooo pissed I missed it lol
Thankfully though no one hurt, just trees and trash.

 

To a certain extent I do. As long as I am in a nice sturdy structure and not caught out on the road. But, I love watching the videos Reed Timmer posts on his web site & You Tube. :cool
