Anybody see Ashlee Simpson do a Milli Vanilli on SNL?

They started her vocal track before her band started playing the song. She left the stage and they faded to a commercial.

 

She is a total s***k!!! I can't believe she said that it was her band's fault!!! Her band needs to just quit. They cannot be getting paid enough to have their reputations as musicians distorted by Jessica's little sister who can't hold a note to save her life! She was going to lipsynch to a vocal track!!! Nobody gets THAT embarassed when their band starts playing the wrong song.

 

I saw that, and was like wtf?!

Not that it mattered anyways, she lip-synched the last song, why would this one be any different

 

That really sucks for them.

 

Awe, man! I can't believe I missed that! I hope someone taped it and puts it on the internet so I can download it. I hate all this made-up-lipsync-fake-crap in the music today! It would have been hilarious to watch.

AS: I'm totally against it and offended by it. I'm going out to let my real talent show, not to just stand there and dance around. Personally, I'd never lip-synch. It's just not me.

She looked like a drunk Irishman (I know, I'm being redundant) dancing a jig. On second thought, I must apologise to the Irish for comparing that travesty of talent to the fine art of Irish jig dancing.

 

i wonder how she will explain that one...
i like how her band members looked like they were laughing...maybe they set her up....

what was she bouncing around for? was she that pissed? or was she trying to get a flow going? whatever that was it looked stupid as hell, looked like somebody was shooting at her feet.

I guess she short circuited lol.

 

The SNAFU apparently was that she had already "performed" that song earlier in the broadcast, and an SNL audio engineer-- asleep at the wheel-- failed to cue up the tape for the second song, and played the first one again instead.

Getting outed for lip-synching on Saturday Night Live: Priceless.

(BTW, artists sing live over recorded backing instrumental tracks. They don't lip-synch to vocal recordings over live band performances-- it just wouldn't work. I think the instruments were live just in case of a total meltdown from the control room.)

 

I saw that, it was.........priceless.

At one time there was a rumor that ZZ Top lip-synched at thier concerts, did anyone ever hear that? I have seen them several times live and I could never tell.

I know Mark Knopfler made a statement once about the sound they got, I can't remember if he was defending them or not. I know he said it was remarkable.

Actually what she said is she had acid REFLEX. She didn't even know what she had. REFLUX ash... not reflex.

 

oh just fess up already.. you lipsynch'd.. ya screwed up.. move on. There are like 25 people in the audience at SNL. It's funny, but I don't see what all the buzz is about.

 

What's with this acid reflux crap? She's 19! I agree with Kodo, just confess and go on. Even if she if is talentless.
