Anyone ever set up a cheap version of security cam?

My house keeps getting egged and such........I want to set up a security system to run 24/7. Does anyone know how to do this stuff properly?

 

So much easier than a security system. Are you or do you have a teenager. If so, do you/they have a facebook. Only teenagers do that retarded shiz to one another and they always feel the need to brag about it. If it's not one of his/your friends look up the people you know dislike you/them. They bragged. Guaranteed.

When you find it. Screen shot it. Then call the police. Petty larceny/trespassing/criminal mischief (however they prosecute where you are) FTW.

If you already have a DVR or composite video inputs on your PC, you could catch the vandals in the act if the camera didn't give them pause.

 

There are something like a million hidden security camera/video recording gadgets on the market, ranging from around $40 to upwards of $1000. I like Wenchie's suggestion about checking Facebook for bragging, though...that's way more likely to catch them.
