Anyone familiar with the math program Geogebra?

Hi all,

I hope this is the right forum to ask this question, but does anyone know if the math program Geogebra is OK to use?

It sounds credible enough from what I can see. I'm a returning student taking College Algebra, needing to take Calculus next semester and then stats. I'm trying desperately to recall algebra for this class, so I can't intelligently discuss much about math programs but it sounds as if Geogebra can be downloaded and used instead of a graphing calculator.

I normally check out Major Geeks before downloading anything but nothing turned up when I searched. I'd appreciate any input!

It's actually a pretty awesome program that has earned numerous awards from both mathematicians and software writers.

And you can download it from their home page, as I don't believe MajorGeeks has it available. At least I couldn't find it through a search of their available programs.
