anyone finished their taxes yet?

I just finished mine... kind of. i can't believe they made me pay! A poor college student...

but yeah, any of you procrastinators start/finish yet?

 

Started, but not done yet.

 

Never do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

I've got my Kiplinger Tax Cut, but still haven't done them yet. Installing and updating the program tonight, will likely start tomorrow night.

 

My federal refund should be in my account Friday. My state refund should be in my account Tuesday. The two city returns I had to do are anybody's guess, as those had to be done by mail.

I did them VERY late for me...I'm usually done February 18 (have to give the 1099s time to come in after the cutoff of the 15th).

Mailed mine in Feb. 2, Got refund direct deposited Feb. 10, Spent refund Feb. 11 to pay bills. I did mine here http://taxact.com/ on Feb. 2. Had my refund in the bank on the 11th. Had it spent by the 28th!!

i did mine for free online thru the IRS. pretty awesome...

 

I actually JUST finished mine, and haven't been over at MG for a while, so popped in before hitting the sack. Have been a TurboTax user the last couple of years which works well for me ... unfortunately, I was not able to claim The HULK as a deduction! ;-)

 

Track ALL your possible deductions (mileage, parking fees, out of town food allowances, hotels, uniforms, cell phone [if used for work], internet/computer [if used for work], medical expenses, vehicle maintenance expenses). You'll have to itemize using the 1040 long form with a Schedule A (I think that's it) to claim them.

Also, the size of your refund depends on how many exemptions you claim on your W-4. I always claim zero exemptions so they take the maximum tax out of my check, because I never know how much income I'll have in 1099s. I've never had to pay, even when I've had several thousand dollars in 1099 work.
