This might have been better in the software help forum, not the lounge, but let me try to help anyway.

The reason you attach PDF's is so anyone can view them cross platform and so the size is smaller. Depends on how many pages the PDF is. Anything over 10 pages or full of graphics, and some mail servers will choke on the attachment. You simply attach using the paperclip icon in the toolbar and send them as a mail attachment.

Hope this helps. Oh, and welcome to MajorGeeks.com! :D

i agree with BOOMM. that is the way to do it. if your server doesn't allow big files... try gmail. it has an archive feature that is excellent.

What size is the pdf?Try zipping it.
Gmail can handle max upto 10mb.Others might choke at 3-5mb.
There are utilities to split a file as well.

I believe you need too Tools =>Options menu. Then the security tab, then uncheck the box that says "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus."

Note: If you do choose that, then make sure you check that the attachment is virus/trojan free first.

(Like BOOM said, for large file, you'll need to use some other method of download)

other options are if your ISP gives you webspace then upload and link customers to it, or use one of a few sites that host files

http://www.yousendit.com/ ( 1gb limit ) ( may need to zip the pdf tho... I had to zip to send one a while back before it would upload correctly, may tho have been a glitch at YSI )

    http://rapidshare.de/ ( 30mb limit )

    http://www.dropload.com/ ( 100mb limit )
