Last I recall reading, he'd been feeling poorly and was going to see his doctor. I see by perusing the threads it has been several days since he last posted.

If someone has any information, kindly share it.

Member's list has him visiting today(16). I guess he didn't post.

I never remember to check the last-visit thing, thanks p00t.

Think we might try calling him if he's not in over the weekend.

Yep, I haven't seen him post any any of his usual haunts for a while. I guess he's busy, like most of us are nowadays.

    G.T. R.I.P February 4, 2007. You will be missed.

Hi guys. Been busy and sick(?) at the same time. Still don't know what ails me. Haven't needed a doctor since moving to Memphis, and don't have one down here. And it's impossible to see a new doctor on short notice down here. Worked through the approved doctors for my medical plan two weeks ago, and this coming Tuesday is the first appointment I could get. I gave up and went into the ER last week and wasted 8.5 hours there. Gave blood, peed in a cup, had some x-rays, and they couldn't find anything conclusive, so I've been toughing it out and working. Will see an internist Tuesday, and hopefully he'll dig around enough to figure out what's going on.

Basic annoyances are that I've been running a low-grade fever most of the last month, and have intermittent joint and muscle pain. "Intermittent" in the sense that I usually feel pretty good in the mornings, getting progressively worse as the day progresses. By the end of the work day I practically limp out to my car. Hip joints primarily, although shoulders and neck sometimes. Hurts bad enough in the evenings that I'm not getting much sleep, so exhausted all the time too. The last few weekends have been primarily sleep and rest-up for the work week as much as possible. Haven't been getting much of anything done around the house. It's still early, so it doesn't hurt to sit in a chair (yet) so it's a good time to post & fill you in.

Add to my personal problems the fact that our company is changing over to a completey new software package to run the company. We've started training sessions, which make us shorthanded on the phones and everywhere else, and business has been insane, and will get worse. The next 2 weeks is more intensive training, sucking HALF the people off at a time in 4 hour training sessions for training. The last 2 weeks has been all we can handle. We're gonna get absolutely buried the next 2 weeks. Of course management expects we'll all just handle it somehow. (jackasses)

I used to have some free time to read and post between busy times at work; lately I get a few moments to peek in here & there only, and by the time I get home, I'm wasted. Which is why I haven't been on much lately. Hopefully after the insanity at work settles down, and if the sawbones can figure out & fix what's wrong with me, I'll be back a lot more. In the mean time, just think of me as being on the injured-reserve list. ;)

    Hello my friend :)

I'm glad you popped in; hate it that you are still feeling poorly. Hopefully the docs can figure this out, once they can get you in there to see them.

As far as work being a cluster-bleep: been there; done that :D

Get well soon, and holler if you need anything :)

Take care of yourself GT and hope you get medically sorted soon, weird ass fevers and pains are a nightmare to diagnose.

Definitely want to get it checked out - low grade fever and joint pains can run you down and exhaust you to the point you get sick with something else. Hopefullty something a course of antibiotics can treat - a virus you just have to wait out. The hardest thing is just getting enough rest to feel rested, especially when you can't afford to be off work, which of course is when you seem to get the sickest ( at least in my case). Good luck and keep us all informed.

    Prayers and good wishes

Sorry to hear you are still felling so poorly, G.T. and that work is only adding to the burden. :( Get as much rest as you can (difficult, I know), and keep your strength up. It does sound a little like one of those chronic joints and muscle viruses, but it could be a lot of things.

I've been having my own little battle with health issues - chronic weariness and getting dizzy and sore. I don't like it when I'm falling out of chairs and stuff. It does seem to be slowly improving, though. But it's taking months.

Anyway, I hope you're feeling chipper again soon and are back with us. :)

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well.
Take it easy, rest, drink plenty of fluids, you know all the rest.
Hope the "sawbones" fixes you up soon.

    Take care!
