anyone use cafepress.com?

I read some reviews on it, was thinking about having some fun with it, I cant really seem to find any alternatives besides 99dogs.com, thought maybe i'd see if anyone here has any input on it or any alternatives. Tank j00

 

IMO they are very, VERY resitrictive and don't offer a particularly good return on merchandise sold.

 

Restrictive as in what goes on the t-shirt? I just had some logos and such, nothing patented and what not

 

I use it, but the profit margin is extremely low. They're base cost to you is so high to begin with you can't offer a reasonable price at any profit. The most you really see is $2-$10 on any given item, and unless you sell alot, it's not worth it because they wont send you a check until you hit $25.

The quality of the printing is also terrible, the clothes are a full size smaller than standard for the designation (like and XL is about an M) and the printing starts to crack fade and break off after like, 2 washes.

I don't appreciate them much at all.

 

I mean, you get a square (rectangle, whatever) to put the design on and you can't have any other colour shirt other than white, so it will look like a tshirt transfer which you could do at home quite easily with some a4 inkjet iron on sheets.

It's okay if you want to sell tshirts for a laugh but don't expect great quality merchandise which makes a decent profit.

 

Right? I can print off and sell tranfers of my art that you can iron on whatever you want yourself and make a ton more money.

gee, maybe I should look into that... assuming anyone wanted them.
